Thrifting Magazine: A Review

I bought this at Barnes N Noble for 9.99. I think this a great starter magazine for someone who doesn’t know anything at all about “Thrifting,” but to be honest I’d be hard pressed to find a person like this.

Here’s a breakdown of consignment shops that I thought had some helpful information for someone who is considering selling.

Here is a nice article on what is considered “Vintage,” but they really should have done a spread on Dita Von Teese instead of a blurb. Her closet, her home, her make-up could have span pages. I would have been enthralled. A missed opportunity.

There is something a bit basic about a page like this. Vintage can be much more glamorous and expressive than this. A photo or examples of what the garments from different generations look like. A nice photo spread of dresses, bell bottoms, shoulder pads, clothes that typify the era would have been a nice Touch.

Here is a page with some helpful tips about shopping. Does anyone who loves shopping for clothes really need tips like these.I would have instead focused on the “treasure seeking aspect” of the culture. It’s just my opinion.

I thought this page was helpful. There are things that can go wrong when buying used. This section gets. “W”.
